Katherine Crooks

KCrooks_CropKatherine is a Master’s student in history at Dalhousie University. Her MA thesis will examine representations of prostitution in the popular press of late-Victorian London. Katherine’s work on the Charitable Irish Society was produced as a contribution to the Holy Cross Historical Trust project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, which examines the social mobility of Irish immigrants in Halifax during the nineteenth century.
